Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. - According to information gathered from the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service (ECAR MLS) by Destin Real Estate Company, the number of transactions for purchases of single family homes in Destin and Miramar Beach, as well as along Scenic Highway 30A are up in quarter two of this year when compared to quarter two of 2008. The number of home sales in Destin and Miramar Beach is up 30% in quarter two of 2009 versus quarter two of 2008, and the number of home sales along Scenic Highway 30A is up nearly 14% comparing the same periods.

The number of residential land sales in Destin and Miramar Beach, as well as along Scenic Highway 30A has remained relatively unchanged in quarter two of 2009 versus quarter two of 2008, however the average sales price of residential land in Destin and Miramar Beach has seen a 9% increase in quarter two of 2009 versus quarter two of 2008.

Over the last three quarters, the average sale prices of single family homes in Destin and Miramar Beach, as well as along Scenic Highway 30A dipped in quarter one of 2009, but rebounded in quarter two of 2009. The average sale price of single family homes in Destin and Miramar Beach is up nearly 15% from quarter one to quarter two 2009 and the average sale price of single family homes along Scenic Highway 30A is up nearly 9% comparing the same periods.

The number of single family home buyers in quarter two of 2009 is up 62% in Destin and Miramar Beach and by nearly 102% along Scenic Highway 30A from quarter four of 2008. The number of condo buyers is up in quarter two of 2009 from quarter four of 2008, by nearly 55% in Destin and Miramar Beach and by 104% along Scenic Highway 30A.
